Inspection Procedures
  • Permits can be submitted electronically to permits@norwalk.iowa.gov or in person at 705 North Avenue.
  • Permits over $500 should be paid for via cash or check.
  • Inspections requested require a 24 hour advance notice. Inspections can be scheduled by calling the Department at (515) 981-9530.
  • The City's Rental Housing Permit and Inspection Program has resumed. Please contact the Department at (515) 981-9530 to begin the permit process.
