Recreation

The City of Norwalk has a variety of parks for residents and visitors. We manage 278.75 acres of parkland ranging in size from 1-acre to 178-acre parks. Our parks offer a variety of activities such as relaxing in nature, walking, running, fishing, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, disc golf, shuffleboard, pickleball, swimming, skateboarding, playground equipment and Iowa's first challenge course.

Norwalk Parks and Recreation’s mission and responsibility is to provide recreational opportunities and safe, fun, aesthetically pleasing parks for all residents of Norwalk. We offer programs for all ages, including youth, adults, and seniors. We engage over 17,000 participants a year in our athletic and recreational programs. For more information on our programming visit our website at www.norwalkparks.org.
