- Youth Soccer Referees - minimum age: 15 years, no certification required, knowledge of sport preferred/ Pay rate: $15/game (Spring and Fall) - Application
- Seasonal Sports Complex Tournament Field Crew - minimum age: 16 years. Maintain baseball, softball and soccer fields. Varying hours including nights, weekends and holidays (March-October) - Application
Norwalk Parks and Recreation has many seasonal positions open throughout the year including:
- Youth Baseball/Softball Umpires - minimum age: 16 years, no certification required, knowledge of the sport preferred/ Pay rate: $15/game
- Basketball referees- minimum age: 15 years, no certification required, knowledge of the sport preferred, set up and take down required/ Pay rate: $15/game
- Volleyball referees - minimum age: 16 years, no certification required, knowledge of the sport preferred, set up and take down required/ Pay rate: $15/game
- Seasonal Parks Maintenance- minimum age: 16 years. Varying hours, including nights and weekends/ Pay rate: $10/hour (April - October)
- Lifeguards - minimum age: 15 years. Lifeguard Training certification required through the American Red Cross. Varying hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Water Safety Instructor - minimum age 16 years. Water Safety Instructor certification required through the American Red Cross. Safely and effectively teach children methods of swimming. Varying hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Pool Maintenance - minimum age: 16 years. No experience required. Performs a variety of groundwork and pool cleaning.
- Pool Admissions - minimum age: 14 years. Cashier and customer service experience preferred. Varying hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Pool Concession Stand - minimum age: 14 years. Cashier, concession stand and customer service experience preferred. Varying hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Pool Supervisors- minimum age: Senior in High School or older. Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor certification required through the American Red Cross. Varying hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
