Crime Prevention Assessment

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a concept where the physical structure, landscaping and general area of a home or business are analyzed to deter criminal behavior in and around the structure. The concept is designed to influence the decisions of individuals prior to the criminal act taking place, thus reducing the chance that you will be victimized. When requested, the police department will visit your home or business and complete an assessment to make suggestions on improvements that might reduce your chance of being victimized. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please contact us to schedule the officer.

Citizen Ride-a-long

Have you ever wanted to be a police officer? Or ever wanted to experience what it's like to be a police officer? Ride-a-longs are limited to 4 hours in length and participants are generally required to be at least 18 years of age. A short application and background check are also required. If you are interested, please complete the forms at the link below and mail or drop them off at the police department.
