Rate Increase Notice To Customers:

A water and sewer rate increase will go into effect with the July 2019 utility bills. The new rate will reflect a .51 cent increase to your bill per 1,000 gallons on sewer and water only. The new water usage rate to $6.48/1000 gallons and the sewer usage rate to $10.23/1000 gallons

The rate for garbage, recycling, storm water, and minimum availability fees will all remain the same.  An average (5,000 gallons) household bill will increase approximately $1.54 and $1.00 per month for water and sewer respectively.

These rate adjustments help ensure the reliability and maintenance of basic water and sewer services in our community. Norwalk City Staff is committed to managing these costs in the most efficient and sustainable way while maintaining our commitment to our city’s future growth.
