Echo Valley Drive Resurfacing

Echo Valley Resurfacing
Posted on 02/24/2020
The City of Des Moines in cooperation with City of Norwalk is planning the resurfacing of Echo Valley Drive from S.W. 42nd Street (old Highway 28) east to the Norwalk City Limits. The purpose of this letter is to notify residents within the project limits of the upcoming public improvement project. This project is funded with the 1 cent Local Option Sales and Service Tax and this project will NOT be assessed to the property owners.

Construction of the city's street resurfacing project is scheduled to take place during the 2020 construction season. In preparation for the city's street reconstruction project, private utilities such as power, telecommunications, and gas may be required to relocate their private utilities,
so some construction activity may take place prior to the start of the city's street resurfacing project in the summer of 2020.

During construction, mail and solid waste collection services will be continued. Lane closures along the project will be required to patch the roadway. Driveways adjacent to the street resurfacing will have limited access during the paving of street pavement and possibly areas of pavement patching.

More information can be found by visiting the City of Des Moines Engineering Department's Projects and Capital Improvements Program Map at https://maps.dsm.city/projects/. If you have questions or need special accommodations, please contact Matt Becker at (515)-283-4026 or at mdbecker@dmgov.org.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this public improvement project.
